After a robust and lively conversation on one of our Instagram posts, I have put together the perfect day for moms. Most moms don’t mention any specific gifts but it never hurts to wrap something up and add that to a specially curated day for mom.

A Mom’s Ideal Day

Mom wants sleep. As cute as breakfast in bed is, make sure it isn’t until at least 10am. Let the woman sleep in! If the kids get up at 6am, make them help you clean up the house (quietly). Then you can prepare breakfast in bed, but make sure you clean the kitchen as you go. Waking up to a clean house is a key to a great mothers day. After breakfast in bed you can give her some gifts. Something that will assist her for her day of relaxation.

After breakfast, make yourself scarce. Take the kids to the park or the in-laws or the hands on children’s museum. Mom gets to be alone! You can send her on a spa day, pedicure or just leave her at home to soak in the bath. After some time alone maybe invite her to the park for a picnic lunch and then take the kids to nap time and let mom read a book ALONE or stare at a wall.

After that you can make a nice dinner or take her out to dinner with her mom (if she likes her). After that, toss the kids in bed, clean the house and then end the day with a no-strings-attached massage. You did it dad. The perfect mothers day.
